The race date is approaching Rally raid hardest, most extreme, and most compromising in the world and in Profender we want to tell you a little about the development of this very important event. The 40th edition of the Dakar 2018 will begin next January 6th in On America, as well as the last 9 editions.
The start of the longest Dakar rally in the last five years will take place in Lima, the capital of Peru, will continue through Bolivia where the rest day will be held in La Paz, and will continue to the original city of Córdoba in Argentina.
Once again, the event will reign for a Demanding physical plan, incredible landscapes and a huge experience in terms of extreme endurance. We'll tell you some details:

Saturday, January 6
STAGE 1 / LIMA – PISCO: 272 KM
The first part of the tour begins with a descent until reaching the shores of a lake in Peru, where the riders will soon come into contact with one of the main elements of this tour: sand.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 7
STAGE 2 / PISCO – PISCO: 278 KM
In this second stage, we encounter a loop on a 90% off-road route, where the main challenges will be the ravines in the first 40 km and the stepped dunes that follow.
MONDAY, JANUARY 8
STAGE 3 / PISCO – SAN JUAN DE MARCONA: MQ, 502 KM (SS: 295 KM) / AC, 501 KM
The challenge continues among the canyons, with off-piste riding now predominating. In this stage, the motorcycles and quads will separate from the main route for 15km.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 9
STAGE 4 / SAN JUAN DE MARCONA – SAN JUAN DE MARCONA: 444 KM
The drivers will start with one of the sandiest sectors of the Dakar, nothing less than 100km of dunes of all sizes. And they will separate into 15 rows for the motorcycles and drag races for the cars in groups of 4.

STAGE 5 / SAN JUAN DE MARCONA – AREQUIPA
The motorcycles and ATVs are separated from the cars and trucks.
Thursday, January 11
STAGE 6 / AREQUIPA – LA PAZ: 758 KM (SS: 313 KM)
In this stage, the pilots leave the desert of Peru to tackle the mountains of Bolivia and its numerous lakes, where the start takes place from the shores of Lake Titicaca.

STAGE 7 / LA PAZ – UYUNI
Now acclimatized to the new scenario, in this marathon stage, the route continues on the Uyuni route.

STAGE 8 / UYUNI – TUPIZA
The longest part of the rally begins with a nearly 500km stage, where riders will face high-altitude dunes, increasing the distance between them and starting to reveal who has a chance to win the Dakar.
MONDAY, JANUARY 15
STAGE 9 / TUPIZA – SALTA: 754 KM
Quick tips in general, especially for those who know how to navigate rivers. It's best not to take risks to avoid making mistakes.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 16
STAGE 10 / SALTA – BELÉN: 795 KM
During the first part of the day, the pilots will tackle the vast sandy plateau.
Wednesday January 17
STAGE 11 / BELÉN – CHILECITO
The most delicate zone of Argentina begins, and the times from the qualifying session will determine the running order for the fastest 25, regardless of motorcycles, cars, and trucks.

STAGE 13 / SAN JUAN – CÓRDOBA
Those familiar with the Argentine WRC circuit stages will find terrain to their liking, albeit with many risks. It will be crucial for drivers to concentrate and give their all to avoid letting the title slip away with only hours to spare.
SATURDAY 20 JANUARY
STAGE 14 / CÓRDOBA-CÓRDOBA: 284 KM
You have to keep a cool head until the last kilometer and not fall into any of the traps that might be along the way. The 40th edition of the Dakar rally finally comes to an end, and the winners will finally be able to enjoy their titles.
